If you have always sought for a way you can measure your b ra size correctly at home, then this is what you need to go through.
They say that 75-80% of all women are wearing the wrong b ra size. Truthfully, our bodies change all the time (even just within a year or two) as we gain or lose weight, as we gain or lose muscle tone with exercise, with pregnancy or nursing, and simply as we age. So even if you were wearing the right size just last year, you may need a change now.
How to know if a particular b ra fits
  • Bend forward at the waist, then slip on the b ra and hook it. This ensures your b reasts are completely in the cups.
  • Adjust the band. The back of the b ra should be level with the front.
  • Make sure the b ra is not too loose. You should be able to slide only one finger underneath the band.
  • Fix falling straps. First, tighten the band, then shorten the straps.
  • Put on a close-fitting shirt over the b ra. If the cups pucker or your b reasts bulge, you’re not wearing the correct size.
  • Look at yourself sideways in a mirror. Your b reasts should sit midway between your shoulders and elbows. If not, you need a more supportive and better-fitting b ra.
  • If you need to go down a cup size for fit, go up one band size, and vice versa. For example, if a 34C is too big for you, move to a 36B.
  • Choose a b ra that fits perfectly when secured on the outermost hook. As the b ra loosens over time, make the band taut by moving toward the tightest hook.
How to get your perfect b ra size
1: Measure your band size.
While b raless or wearing a non-padded b ra, measure around the bottom of the band, directly under your bust and across your ribcage. The measuring tape should be level and very snug. Round to the nearest even number to get your band size. It is difficult to measure your b ra size, especially when wearing a b ra that doesn’t fit properly.
2: Take Your Bust Measurement.
Get your bust measurement by measuring loosely around the fullest part of your bust with the tape straight across and around your back under the arms. Round up to the nearest whole number.
3: Calculate Your Cup Size.
Subtract your band size from your bust measurement and use the difference to find your b ra cup size. Each inch represents a cup size. Example: 38 inches (bust) – 34 inches (band) = 4 inches. That’s a 34D.
Most of our b ras are from the UK and Europe. If you wear a cup size DD or above, you should check your b ra’s style description carefully to see whether it’s a UK or European size. If the style comes in European or UK sizing, you will want to find your equivalent in the chart below.
