Rivian has opened the online configurator for the Rivian R2, its smaller and more affordable electric SUV. The configurator shows the full Rivian R2 price breakdown by trim, every paid option and when each option will become available. Here is what each version costs, what you get and when you can expect delivery.
Note: the prices below are the euro figures reported when the configurator launched in May 2026. Buyers in the US see dollar pricing in Rivian’s configurator, and prices can change.
Rivian R2 trims and prices
| Trim | Starting price | Drive | Estimated range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | €41,390 | Rear-wheel drive | 555 km |
| Standard AWD | €44,390 (+€3,000) | All-wheel drive | 531 km |

| Performance with Launch Package | €49,500 | All-wheel drive | – |
| Performance, fully optioned | €53,559 | All-wheel drive | – |
Standard
The entry-level Standard trim is rear-wheel drive with an estimated 555 km of range. Adding all-wheel drive costs €3,000, reduces the estimated range to 531 km and unlocks the €811 tow package.
Premium
The Premium trim includes all-wheel drive as standard and adds 20-inch bi-colour carbon wheels.
Performance with Launch Package
For early reservation holders who want their car at launch, the Launch Package bundles the Autonomy+ software, the tow package, a special physical key fob and exclusive Launch Green paint.
Rivian R2 options and their prices
| Option | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Paint (except Silver) | €900 – €1,700 | Silver is the only free colour |
| Forest Green paint | Paid | Not available until late 2026 |
| Borealis purple paint | Paid | Performance trim only; available from 2027 |
| Coastal Cloud light interior | €900 | Not on Standard trim; ordering opens later in 2026 |
| 20-inch bi-colour carbon wheels (Standard) | €900 | Standard trim comes with 19-inch wheels |
| 21-inch Liquid Tungsten wheels (Premium) | €1,700 | Standard on Performance |
| 20-inch Black Sand wheels with 32-inch BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres | €900 | Performance trim, for off-road use |
| Compact spare tyre package | €644 | Includes jack and wheel chocks; stored under the rear floor |
| Tow package | €811 | Requires all-wheel drive |
| Autonomy+ driver assistance | €2,100 | No LiDAR; no hardware retrofit planned |
Two details stand out. First, a dedicated spare-tyre space is rare on modern EVs, which makes the R2 more practical for long trips and rough roads. Second, some colours carry both a surcharge and a long wait: Borealis purple won’t be available until 2027.
