Apple iPhone Duo
The iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable phone. Below are the full Apple iPhone Duo specs from Apple’s official spec page. We cover both displays, the hinge design, cameras, chip, battery, colours and US price. We also explain how it compares with other foldables.

The Apple iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable iPhone. Open, it becomes a 7.6-inch tablet-like screen just 5.2mm thick; closed, a 5.4-inch outer display works like a compact iPhone. Both screens use Super Retina XDR OLED panels with ProMotion up to 120Hz, and the inner display has a nano-texture finish and supports Apple Pencil (USB-C).
Inside is the same A20 Pro chip as the iPhone 18 Pro. The dual camera system pairs a 48MP Fusion Main with a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide, while Touch ID in the side button replaces Face ID. Apple quotes up to 24 hours of typical use from its dual batteries.
The titanium iPhone Duo is IP68 rated, eSIM-only and comes in Night Sky and Star White, from $1,999 in the US.

Design and build
The iPhone Duo uses a titanium foldable design. Open, it measures 164.6 x 117.8 x 5.2 mm. Closed, it measures 117.8 x 84.1 x 11.3 mm. It weighs 254 g. The front uses Ceramic Shield 2 and the back uses Ceramic Shield. Despite the hinge, Apple still rates it IP68. There are two colours: Night Sky and Star White. Instead of Face ID, Apple put Touch ID in the side button.
Display
There are two screens. The inner 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR display has a resolution of 1878 x 2670 pixels, about 430 pixels per inch. It has a nano-texture finish to cut reflections. The inner screen also supports Apple Pencil (USB-C), which is useful for notes and sketches. The outer 5.4-inch display has 1398 x 2034 pixels, about 460 pixels per inch. Both screens support ProMotion up to 120Hz. So the phone feels like a compact iPhone when closed and a small tablet when open.
Performance and software
The iPhone Duo shares the A20 Pro chip with the iPhone 18 Pro. It has a 6-core CPU and a 7-core GPU with Neural Accelerators. It runs iOS 27, which adds features for the larger folding screen. Storage starts at 256GB and goes up to 2TB. There is no memory card slot.
Cameras
On the back, there are two cameras. The 48MP Fusion Main camera has an f/1.6 aperture and sensor-shift stabilisation. The 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera has a 120-degree field of view and doubles as a macro camera. Apple quotes 2x optical-quality zoom. A feature called Duo Preview lets the person you photograph see the shot on the outer screen. For selfies, there is a 12MP Center Stage camera on the outer screen. An under-display camera sits in the inner screen for video calls. Video goes up to 4K Dolby Vision at 120fps.
Battery and charging
Apple uses dual batteries but does not share the capacity. It quotes up to 24 hours of typical use. When you use only the outer display, video playback reaches up to 44 hours. Wired charging reaches 50% in about 20 minutes with a 60W adapter. MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging run at up to 25W.
Connectivity
The Duo supports 5G with sub-6GHz and mmWave. It has Wi-Fi 7 through the N1 chip and Bluetooth 6. Like the other 2026 Pro iPhones, it is dual eSIM only. Read our guide on what an eSIM is if you have only used physical SIM cards. The USB-C port supports USB 3 speeds of up to 10Gb/s.
Price and availability
The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 in the US for 256GB. That makes it the most expensive iPhone in the 2026 range. There is no official Nigerian price yet. Imported units will likely cost more than the US price because of shipping and duties.
Should you buy it?
The iPhone Duo is for Apple fans who want a bigger screen in a pocket-sized phone. Apple Pencil support and the large inner display make it great for work and reading. If you prefer Android, compare it with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8.
