Display
The 6.75-inch dual-layer OLED screen has a resolution of 2832 x 1280 pixels. Dual-layer OLED can deliver higher brightness and longer panel life. The LTPO panel adapts from 1Hz to 120Hz, with 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. It shows 1.07 billion colours across the P3 colour gamut.
Performance and software
Huawei’s Kirin 9035 chip powers the phone, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage. There is no memory card support. The phone runs HarmonyOS 7.0, Huawei’s own operating system. It does not include Google services, so you install apps from Huawei AppGallery.
Cameras
The 50MP Ultra Lighting main camera has a variable aperture from F1.4 to F4.0, optical stabilisation and an RYYB sensor that captures more light. The 40MP ultrawide also uses RYYB. The 50MP macro telephoto offers 4x optical zoom at about 90mm, with stabilisation, plus 8x optical-quality zoom and 100x digital zoom. A third-generation Red Maple colour camera improves colour accuracy. Video reaches 4K. The front has a 13MP ultrawide camera with autofocus and a 3D depth camera for secure face unlock.
Battery and charging
The 6,600mAh battery supports 100W wired SuperCharge and 50W wireless SuperCharge. It also offers 18W reverse wired charging and reverse wireless charging. Huawei includes a SuperCharge charger in the box.
Connectivity
The phone supports 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NearLink E2.0 and NFC. It supports two nano-SIM cards plus eSIM. In mainland China, it also supports BeiDou satellite messaging. The USB-C port supports USB 3.1 Gen 1. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack.
Tips for new owners
Before setting up, plan which apps you need, since Google services are not included. Install them from AppGallery or official app websites. Use the included SuperCharge charger for 100W speeds. Try the variable aperture in Pro mode for creative depth effects. Set up 3D face recognition and the side fingerprint sensor for fast unlocking.
What to check before you buy
Before buying, confirm that your important apps, such as banking and work tools, run on HarmonyOS 7.0. This is a China model, so check language support, network bands and warranty with your seller. Choose storage carefully, as there is no memory card slot.
How it compares
Compared with the standard Huawei Mate 90, the Pro adds the faster Kirin 9035 chip, a dual-layer OLED screen, 16GB RAM options and 100W wired charging instead of 66W. Both share the 6,600mAh battery, 6.75-inch size and variable-aperture main camera.

Huawei sells the Mate 90 Pro mainly in China. Prices for imported units vary, so compare trusted sellers.
