Design and build

The phone measures 155.8 x 74.2 x 7.8mm and weighs 201g. Fitting an 8000mAh battery into a body this compact and slim is impressive. It uses a glass front with an aluminium frame and carries IP68 and IP69K ratings.

Display

The 6.55-inch AMOLED screen has a resolution of 1264 x 2736 pixels, about 460 pixels per inch. It refreshes at up to 120Hz and reaches an impressive 6000 nits at peak. Honor uses 3840Hz PWM dimming to help reduce flicker.

Performance and software

The Snapdragon 8 Elite, with CPU cores reaching 4.32GHz and an Adreno 830 GPU, makes this a flagship-class performer in a mid-size phone. You can choose 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage. There is no memory card slot. It runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.

Cameras

The main camera uses a 200MP sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and optical stabilisation. A 50MP periscope telephoto with a 68mm focal length handles portraits and zoom shots, and an ultrawide camera covers wide scenes. A colour spectrum sensor improves colour accuracy. Video reaches 4K. The 50MP front camera also records 4K video.

Battery and charging

An 8000mAh silicon-carbon battery is huge for a 6.55-inch phone. Most users will get well over a day of use. It supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, plus reverse wired and reverse wireless charging.

Connectivity

The phone supports 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 with aptX Lossless and LHDC 5, and NFC. An in-display fingerprint sensor handles unlocking. There are stereo speakers but no headphone jack. Since this is the China model, the 5G bands listed in our data are general, so check compatibility before importing.

Tips for new owners

Because this is a China model, confirm that Google services can be installed or are included. Set the language and region carefully during setup. Use the original 80W charger for fast top-ups, and a wireless pad for convenience. Try the periscope camera for portraits. Keep MagicOS updated, and back up your photos regularly.

What to check before you buy

Before buying, ask the seller whether the unit has Google services and English language support. Confirm that the 5G and 4G bands work on your network. Choose storage carefully, as there is no memory card slot. Test the cameras, wireless charging and fingerprint sensor. Buy from a trusted importer that provides a warranty.

How it compares

Compared with the vivo S50 Pro mini, this phone has a bigger 8000mAh battery, a 200MP main camera and a slightly larger screen. The vivo is smaller and uses a newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. Both offer periscope zoom and wireless charging.
